Exposed aggregate concrete is a decorative finish used mostly for outdoor areas including alfresco’s, driveways and paths. During the finishing process a surface retardant is applied to the concrete which stops the top layer of slurry from hardening. This layer is later removed, hence exposing the stone or aggregate in the concrete. The concrete is later acid washed and sealed which helps to preserve the colours and quality of the concrete. The non slip nature of the exposed aggregate combined with a large range of base colours, aggregate colours and sizes makes this the perfect product to complement the exterior of your house.
